How to have Healthy Bones – Part VI

Continuing on from last week, where we looked at the significant problem for your bones and your overall health when you are in an acidic state. Everything you do to promote your health and wellbeing will help you achieve an alkaline state, so on top of the diet, stress management is absolutely crucial.

Chew your food well.

Eat only when hungry.

Drink herbal teas such as nettle, dandelion, fennel, pau d’arco, are good choices for cleansing and detoxifying the body.

Animal products (meat, fish, and diary) are acidic forming inflammatory foods so keep these to an absolute minimum in your diet.

Drink plenty of water about 500ml upon rising to wash the toxicity form the night before away and then continue with 200mls throughout the day in between meals. Never drink more than the odd sip at meal times. Adding a splash of fresh lemon juice to water will help alkalise your system.

Think Alkaline, Think VEGETABLES, while eating/juicing green veg as much as possible.

Eat a healthy balance of raw to cooked food so you will nourish your body with an ample supply of digestive enzymes naturally.

Here is a great mineral rich juice recipe containing (calcium, magnesium, zinc, manganese, Vitamin C, silica, potassium, phosphorous and more). Fabulous for nourishing, cleansing, restoring not only your bone health but your overall energy and wellness.

  • 2 apples , washed unpeeled.
  • 3-4 leaves kale, washed
  • 3 sticks celery
  • 1 cucumber
  • 2 stalks asparagus
  • handful parsley
  • 2 inch piece of broccoli stem ( this is the best bit and most people throw it away!)
  • 1/4 lemon peeled
  • 1/4 lime peeled
  • 1/4 courgette

For an extra super nutritious kick, add a teaspoon of super-green powder or indeed a shot of fresh/powdered wheatgrass

Simply juice all of the above and ENJOY! It is always best to have your juices early morning on an empty tummy to avail of maximum absorption. Juicing done correctly is one of the best things you can do for improving your health. Your taste buds will naturally change and you will crave and eat much less sweet crap when you have a healthier diet.

The very fact you crave so much sweet stuff and rubbish in the first place is usually a very good indicator that you are acidic and have a digestive imbalance somewhere. If you have  a lot to change in your diet, start with one change  such as adding more green veg to your diet or cutting back on all the sweets and rubbish, alcohol etc and over the course of time keep aiming to improve it. You only have one set of body and only one body for that matter so treat it will love, care and respect NOW before you get ill.

Prevention is better than cure so act now.
