We all need a dose of Inspiration

We all need a dose of inspiration, motivation and feel good news or words every now and again, sometimes we need these more than others depending on what life is throwing at us.

Recently I got a call from my mum, and she asked me if I would be interested in going to see the Susan Boyle Musical? Now we all know what the Susan Boyle story is, so I was thinking what would be in a musical about her? Anyway, long story short, off we trekked to see the musical…keeping an open-mind of course! Anything I do, I do with an open mind so that is always something to bear in mind no matter what new opportunity comes knocking on your door. Is your mind open to new ideas, new ways of doing things, new ways of feeling better, new foods???…

The musical was amazing, her story is so simple yet so striking and meaningful and the music was just so relevant and beautiful. Her parents were told from her birth that she probably wouldn’t do any good, she was ridiculed, bullied, laughed out, told she would go nowhere and achieve nothing. She knew she could sing, she tried a few times and got nowhere, so she gave up, withdrew from society, became isolated, lonely and depressed. She ate all around her to comfort herself and watched TV, see there is always a silver lining. She saw the ad, and as they say the rest is History.

So what has Susan Boyle got to do with you, you are asking? Well it has everything, her story is inspirational, what is your story, can you inspire someone, motivate them, help them or support them? Who did you inspire today, who inspired you?

I want you to get out  a notebook and pen and start writing, about what and who inspires you, then start taking action, do not sit around, don’t wait for someone to come knocking on your door, if you are tired, do something about it today, if you are lonely/depressed/anxious, do something about it today, if you are unhappy with your weight, your diet or your health in general…Do something about it Today.

Susan made a choice, she could either sit and eat or she could try again…what are you going to do? I believe you can do anything you want to do. All I ask is that you believe in yourself and take one step forward.
