Top 10 Ways to look and feel Younger, Vibrant, Healthy and Alive!

There is so much you can do for yourself to keep yourself ‘feeling’ young, looking younger and healthier. It’s all about how you feel and managing your feelings during stressful times.

Ageing is a natural progression of life. Many people age quicker than others due to a number of reasons like excess stress over long periods, excess alcohol consumption, excess smoking, poor dietary habits and so on.

The secret is looking after yourself and maintaining an energetic lifestyle. So many people right now are lacking drive, motivation and get up and go for so many obvious reasons. No matter what happens in life the only thing you can control and change is YOURSELF. If you keep focusing on trying to control, change and sort your life in ways which are outside of you then you will always be stressed over something. e.g you want your kids, partner, colleagues, the weather etc to change and WHEN those things change YOU WILL BE BETTER!!!

Unfortunately thats not the way it works. When you are in a better place you can manage obstacles and issues in  much better way when they arise, you will be less reactive, therefore you will feel better, look better, be happier and healthier.

Here are simple tips you can action TODAY to keep your vibration and energy levels high…

  1. Add a splash of colour:
Wear bright colours that suit your colouring..nothing will make you look older than you years than wearing colours that don’t suit you or if you wear the same colours day in day out. If you wear safe colours all of the time like blacks, greys, browns..add a splash of colour to your attire everyday to brighter up your spirit, your mood and your appearance. When you feel good, you look good. I promise you people will notice! Accept and embrace their compliments.
  2. Sleep:
Don’t be a night owl. Lack of sleep prevents the body from regenerating and healing. Get to bed at least 3-4 nights of the week earlier than you normally would. You will immediately feel the difference. If you suffer from poor sleep patterns you may be stressed, have adrenal exhaustion, a mal-functioning pineal gland which controls our body clock and lots more. Things are different now but that onset mean everything has to go out the window. Keep a good sleep pattern and routine. Staying up later, robs you of energy and vitality for the next day, soon a vicious circle is running and you wil be even nor tired and stressed out.
  3. Laugh lots:
Laughing is the best thing you can do for you. It sends happy vibrational signals right throughout your entire body. It costs nothing however we simply don’t do enough of it. Make yourself laugh every day..a good hearty laugh. You will instantly feel better and look it too!! Try it for yourself. Also try adding humour to a situation to diffuse tension and pressure. It can work so effectively.
  4. Rebound:
Get your lymph moving with the aid of a mini trampoline, simply the best money you will ever spend on yourself. It is fun, easy, you can use it in the comfort of your own home..independent of the weather..so no excuses!!. It is suitable for all ages and is easy on the joints too. It boosts lymph flow, which is crucial for looking and feeling younger. The lymph system becomes sluggish due to sedentary lifestyles, making you feel tired, lethargic, unmotivated and sluggish. You skin can look puffy and dull from stagnant lymph. Keep it moving! Skipping, running, brisk walking are also wonderful but can be more strenuous on the joints. Always listen to your body and any medical advice you have been given re exercise.
  5. Go Raw!
Raw food in its natural state is best, it is filled with vitamins, minerals, proteins and life enhancing enzymes. Cooking destroys up to 85% of these vital enzymes. Raw foods will cleanse your body, rejuvenate your cells, make your skin glow, your hair lustrous, your eyes bright, and increase energy levels. This warmer weather is perfect for fresh fruit, salads, smoothies, juices and so on. Start off slow if you always only eat cooked food. always eat fruit on its own not after  heavy cooked meal.
  6. Water: You have heard me say this more than once! I honestly do not know how you can get through your day without water. Recently I had a day when I did not get my NORMAL 2lts, I was absolutely parched, I felt very tired and drained not only that day but the following day too.. Keep your blood purified with ample amounts of water on a daily basis. Water hydrates not only your inner workings but also your skin. Once you get into the habit of drinking water EVERYDAY you will immediately feel the benefit. 2lts of water is recommended. Have small glasses regularly throughout the day, or fill a bottle and bring with you on the go..this is a great reminder. Water is essential for a healthy energetic body. It keeps your skin glowing and flushes out toxins from within!
  7. Let go of the nagging thoughts: What is on your mind? If something is nagging away at the back of your mind, there is a very good chance it is affecting your sleep, your mood, your energy, your motivation, your appearance and so on. Do you frown and sigh a lot? Frowning will age you quickly with increased lines and wrinkles .Talk to someone, make some changes, have a kinesiology treatment, write out your worries, do whatever you need to do to de-stress your mind and body from long-term stress. Short term pressure or stress can be good for us and challenging, when it carries on from month to month..year to year untreated the body wears out trying to cope. You can become ill and disinterested in life around you. Make a decision..Stop carrying around the burden or weight on your shoulders. You will physically feel lighter and look healthier when you let it go. to do more work on this please contact me directly.
  8. Skin brush/Exfoliate: It is a fact our skin cells die off every day..Without removing the dead skin cells regularly our skin can become dull, tired looked and older that it is! Revitalise your skin..at least weekly (2-3 times ideally) with a dry skin brush. Start brushing before you get into the shower/bath with long sweeping movements from the soles of the feet upwards towards the heart. Using a loofah in the shower is also great at renewing and rejuvenating your skin and your health as it hastens the rate of toxin removal from the body.
  9. Reduce your alcohol consumption: Alcohol is so available these days and especially with pubs and restaurants closed drinking at home is now completely normal and thats not just linked to the current situation…the feeling of we deserve and need a drink after a long hard day is acceptable and normal…We drip drink. If you are in the habit of having a daily glass or 2 or 3 glasses of wine every night because you feel the need to unwind I strongly advise you to stop it.. not just to look younger but also to maintain your health and avoid addiction. Reward yourself in healthier more rejuvenating ways like a shower, watch a funny movie, call a friend for a chat, go for a walk, get to bed for an early night..you get the idea..anything to unwind other than drip drink every night. High alcohol consumption dehydrates every cell in your body, not only will you look older you will feel it too. Give your body, mind and skin a well deserved alcohol break. Feel the benefit of an alcohol free week or two.
  10. Dance: I love dancing and jumping around to good music…It is fantastic for re-energising, making you laugh, making you feel good, keeping you fit… The good news is you don’t have to wait to be out on the town or waiting on a friend to go out..turn on your favourite music and dance at home. While you are waiting on the kettle to boil, while getting ready for work, while doing some other household chores. Music is fantastic at boosting your mood and your appearance. Keep looking and feeling younger by dancing away to your heart’s content. Take up dance classes if you are really looking for something to lift your mood, meet new people, get fit, de-stress and so much more…There are lots of classes on line at the moment, or you can start your now on street social distance dancing… I know its not the same of course as meeting people in person but we have to make the most of every situation and you will feel the benefit because of it…Have fun.. I would love to hear how you are getting on with actioning the steps? Keep in touch.

There is nothing new here I’m sure or nothing you haven’t heard a million times before…but the question is are you actually practising these things on a daily, weekly or regular basis to actually benefit from doing them…knowing about them is not enough xx

Many thanks,
